Mariah Carey wins Breakthrough Performance Award at Palm Springs Film Festival

The Palm Springs International Film Festival has tapped Mariah Carey for its Breakthrough Performance Award for "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' By Sapphire."

The kudo will be presented by Jan. 5 at the Palm Springs Convention Center and will be hosted by Mary Hart.
